Recently, Mrs. Herrick’s reading class had a “book tasting” where students had the opportunity to sample several different titles. Rotating through four different tables, readers enjoyed light snacks and thoughtful discussions about their favorite books!

We held our first 5th grade Kindness Retreat at Johnson Crossing. It was a powerful experience for our staff and students. Retreat number two will be held tomorrow. A big thank you to the Fremont High School and Midland University students that served as our group leaders today!
5D did a lock box (similar to an escape room) today. Students had to work in small groups to solve the clues, open the 2 locked boxes to get 2 more puzzle pieces, before solving the final riddle!!
5D spent time seeing their respiratory system at work. We could see the amount of carbon dioxide released from our lungs as we inflated bubbles. Then we spent some time experimenting with bubbles-inflating them in our hands and a bubble inside of a bubble!
