A lot has been going on over the past couple months. I started an art business, Campanella Creative Co LLC (Link in Bio) & I just made it back from an expedition to Antarctica. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing some of the sites I was able to capture with you all.
Woodpeckers, in general, are tough to snag a good clear photo of. They tend to zip around from one tree to the next or one spot on a tree to the next searching for the best critters to eat. Every now and then, you get lucky and get a good one. 🍀
This shot is from our hike down to the Supai Village before exploring Havasupai Falls located within the Grand Canyon. We opted for the “Forbidden Day Hike” which we didn’t know was not allowed and frowned upon at the time. We ran 22 miles total through the canyon that day.
While walking Bean on one of our local trails, Haw Creek, Cassy and I came across this small herd of deer, eating and laying in the woods. They were all Does except this one young buck who was very interested in us and what we were doing in the woods.
Every alleyway in all the small towns throughout Tuscany were so picturesque. I couldn’t imagine living there, waking up each day to scurry down the cobblestones to work or go to the grocery store.
I’ve always found Crows both majestic and a bit ominous. yesterday on the Greenway there was a grouping of 3 to 4 Crows who were making themselves known with their loud calls. I watched them for a good bit and they watched me as well as I walked down the boardwalk.
Antelope Canyon is kind of like being on another planet, Mars or something. We hopped into some military transport vehicles and headed off into Navajo land located in northern Arizona. Into the slot canyon we went snaking through crevasses carved out by centuries of erosion.
I would say there are very few people who have never come across a Mallard before. Though a more common bird species, have you ever stopped to really look at one up close?
The Matterhorn is one of the most iconic mountains I can think of. Zermatt was the first stop we made on our holiday in Switzerland back in 2019. The town, food, people, and of course the nature was above and beyond all expectations.
I’ve passed this same tree hundreds of times over the years while walking the northern section of the Big Creek Greenway. After all these years never seeing critters, I look up and see this little Gray Squirrel looking out at me, cozy in the hole.
The desert always feels like home to me and absolutely nothing beats the sunsets. A trip out west at least once a year is a must to explore new trails and visit family.

One of the Watchman of the gates… This big guy along with one of his buddies was watching over their fallen brethren. Not sure what happened to the poor fella. On any given day the sky’s of Cumming, GA are swirling with vultures.
@runcandice 100% agree. I also wish that athletes would remove the phrase “Race Weight” from their vocabulary. It’s like nails on a chalkboard when I hear it!
