Out of an abundance of caution, the Sullivan County Government Center in Monticello is now CLOSED, due to an emailed threat to the building. We anticipate reopening tomorrow, Tuesday, August 6.
All other County offices are remaining open at this time.

*No Parking Enforcement on Main Street in Swan Lake (Stanton Corner Rd)
The Sullivan County Sheriff's Department would like to remind residents and visitors that parking is prohibited on Main Street in Swan Lake.
We're wrapping up our repaving work on County Route 103 (Anawana Lake Road) in front of Walmart in Monticello tomorrow, and next week we'll begin work on the remaining portion from Bard Road all the way north to the intersection with CR 107 (Old Liberty Road) near Hurleyville.
Milling and repaving of County Rte 103 (Anawana Lake Rd) in front of Walmart in Monticello starts May 29, continuing through the first week of June, weather permitting. Work will just be on the section between Rte 42 & Bard Rd. The road will remain open, but expect minor delays.
County Rte 104 (Loch Sheldrake Rd) between Hurleyville & Loch Sheldrake will see milling and paving work start tomorrow, May 30, continuing for 2 weeks, weather permitting, from the intersection with Brophy Road north to NYS Route 52. One lane (with flaggers) will remain open.
The on-ramp from Rt. 42 to Rt. 17 westbound (heading toward Liberty) in Monticello will be closed periodically throughout the day tomorrow, Friday, May 17. The NYS Department of Transportation will be doing traffic slowdowns on westbound 17 throughout the day as well.
The eastbound Exit 105 off-ramp (from Route 17 to Route 42) in Monticello will be closed all day this Mon, Apr 29, while the eastbound on-ramp (from 42 to 17) will be closed on Tue, Apr 30. Construction continues all along that area, so please use caution and drive slowly.
County Route 58 (Glen Wild Road) will begin being repaved this Mon, Apr 29, throughout its entire length between Rock Hill & Woodridge. The road will remain open, but the speed limit will be 35 MPH, and delays are likely. Work is expected to take about a week, weather-permitting.
