U.S. JOINS JAPAN TO SUPPORT YEN
The U.S. Treasury reportedly bought yen alongside Japan for the first time in over a decade, according to the Financial Times, as officials sought to halt the currency’s sharp decline.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also appeared to signal intervention plans in meeting notes. Japan reportedly intervened again Friday and said it remains ready to use additional tools to support market stability.

CHINA PUSHES BACK ON U.S. TARIFFS
China has rejected U.S. tariffs tied to forced labor allegations, calling on Washington to remove the measures.
Beijing said it remains open to trade talks based on mutual respect and equality, but warned it will closely monitor U.S. actions and reserve the right to respond if necessary.
Senior Iranian officials have told Reuters that Iran has paused strikes as long as the U.S. will, but voiced skepticism over the longevity of such a dynamic.
