Was very impressed with “Swachh Badi” at Siddipet; 1st of its kind solid waste management learning center in Telangana, home and community level composting Models 👍

We will now setup similar Swachh Badi in all 141 Municipalities with ₹71 Cr. Intent is to train our next generation in better handling of solid waste management

✳️ It is a one Stop learning center for all SWM related activities & to provide knowledge on growing organic food

✳️ This center has been developed to encourage people to practice home composting & to create awareness on waste management on sustainable basis through;

• Art installations made out of dry waste to demonstrate the use of up-cycling & reuse concepts
• Trashonomics school program to teach children about the importance of waste management
• Live demos on how to compost at the household, community and in- situ level

✳️ The experience of standing next to a live composting unit and seeing, smelling the waste-compost is an essential part of the activity, various home and community composting methods are presented through the live demo to the visitors

✳️ Through this center, trainings are being provided to the elected representatives, officials and citizens to scale up the best practices in achieving ZERO Waste Management

Telangana Scripts a New Chapter in Urban Administration.

On Telangana Pattana Pragathi Day, MA&UD Minister @KTRBRS launched @GHMCOnline's Ward Office system by inaugurating a Ward Office in Kachiguda.

Facilitating decentralisation and people-centric governance, each of the 150 divisions in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits will have a Ward Office which will effectively address a majority of basic citizen services and complaints at the ward level, ensuring prompt resolution.
