Il 13 febbraio 1913, in una lettera al suo padre spirituale, padre Agostino, Padre Pio confidò una delle rivelazioni più intime della sua vita mistica. E Padre Pio quella croce la portò per cinquant'anni, nel corpo e nello spirito, per noi, per le anime lontane, per chi oggi soffre senza sapere il perché della sua pena.
