@needGod_net The "knowledge of good and evil" is used in the Old Testament to refer to maturity. The tree was meant to be eaten of later when Adam and Eve grew in the knowledge of God, the serpent was offering a shortcut.

@prncecarrington @Alex_Ortodoxie Leviticus 26 gives a list of every blessing that would happen if you followed the law, not one of them is “eternal life”.

This is Paul’s whole argument in Galatians. God fulfilling the law perfectly wouldn’t earn him eternal life that he can then give everyone else.

@HHS3239 Your question is misguided, when we speak of tradition we talk of the faith being handed down. Take Paul in Thessaloniki, when he was there, he didn't give them a list of traditions, he taught them a way of life.
