@autocorrect2_0@JPuncut@Acts17David The Wood/Wilson debate was a sham from the get go, did you see the prompt? Analyze an actual debate, like the JP/Alex one on “intercession of the saints” and tell me Alex didn’t objectively win.
@needGod_net The "knowledge of good and evil" is used in the Old Testament to refer to maturity. The tree was meant to be eaten of later when Adam and Eve grew in the knowledge of God, the serpent was offering a shortcut.
Just like you're doing. Offering the Bible, but bypassing the Church.
@prncecarrington@C2Antiquity He’s already stated publicly that he’s been told by his priest to not engage in public formal/informal debates until he’s spent more time in the faith.
@prncecarrington@Alex_Ortodoxie Leviticus 26 gives a list of every blessing that would happen if you followed the law, not one of them is “eternal life”.
This is Paul’s whole argument in Galatians. God fulfilling the law perfectly wouldn’t earn him eternal life that he can then give everyone else.
@HHS3239 Your question is misguided, when we speak of tradition we talk of the faith being handed down. Take Paul in Thessaloniki, when he was there, he didn't give them a list of traditions, he taught them a way of life.
Would you like to be shown the Orthodox are consistent with that?
