@cmf_nashville@TheAndersPaul@talmonsmith Corollary: nobody in a position of leadership does any of the implementation work. That’s just how humankind works my friend.
@0xEdgar Prob because avax is more directly marketed as a better eth. Not that it’s unwarranted. But I do wish avax maxis would more readily acknowledge that the real TPS constraint is on the C-chain, which is not really much more efficient than eth for processing evm computations.
@dj_bitwreck @TrifectaSolved @kevinsekniqi@el33th4xor This must be the first time I’ve ever heard capital producing a rate of return called “socialism”. What else is socialist, bank accounts?
@dj_bitwreck @TrifectaSolved @kevinsekniqi@el33th4xor Sure, PoW efficiency is not *perfectly* proportional to capital, but I have a hard time believing capital isn't the dominating factor. Further, how does that make PoW better for society than PoS? There's still a high gini coefficient whether it's from capital or capital + alpha.
@dj_bitwreck @TrifectaSolved @kevinsekniqi@el33th4xor Bitcoin rewards are absolutely proportional to capital contribution, it's called capex. You gotta buy the rigs and the facilities to house them, on top of the variable costs for electricity. Economies of scale favor humans with more capital.
@toptickcrypto@VentureCoinist@TheStalwart IIRC one of the big issues is “money neutrality”, ie if new money supply affects all parts of economy equally. The problem is the Cantillon Effect, where banks and rich ppl get the new money first. They can scoop up assets at lower prices before the money flows to plebs.
