My first encounter with this gorgeous bug. I picked her up on a stick and she wanted to sit on my hand #cockchafer @Buzz_dont_tweet @bugboybaker @InsectDiversity @InsectNews @NatureUK @Saving_Nature

@iancbeavis @InsectDiversity @LoveUKWildlife I feel the same, if you don't want lily beetles then don't have lilies.

[Jo Crinks @JCrinks]

I'm on a few gardening and plant groups on Facebook and I'm really exhausted by the amount of "kill the lily beetle" comments. Can anyone give me some information on the value of the lily beetle? There must be some.

The Cubbington Pear Tree was a wild pear tree about 250 years old. Today as part of the HS2 railway development it has been felled and destroyed. This must stop

“EXTINCTION IS FOREVER” - @BorisJohnson, 2020.

At the UN's biodiversity summit on the 30th of September, the prime-minister pledged to protect 30% of UK land for biodiversity and to remove deforestation from our supply chains.
