Arguably, the legal system is working as it should in a free society. Citizens can (and should be able to) challenge organizations on the basis of law. Judges can and should make rulings based on law. Appeals courts can and should serve as checks and balances on the judges.

This is a feature and not a bug. It just might be inconvenient or “chaotic” when it affects consumers of an entertainment product like college sports.

The NFL enjoys a relative judge-free environment because it collectively bargained rules. The NCAA has not.
