Look, Jose passed 8 years ago now, so I get it if you weren’t old enough to have watched him. But he’s one of the best pitchers I ever watched, and he was absolutely going to be one of the best of all time.
The Mets lineup is insane because a pitcher gets through the suffocating top 6 of Lindor Nimmo Martinez Alonso Alvarez and Vientos then thinks they can rest and out of nowhere comes alternate universe Jake Paul and Latin pop star Jose Iglesias
2) “I say to you, today, you will be with Me in paradise.”
There are two men hanging next to Him on the cross.
One man had NO GOOD WORKS & NOTHING TO GIVE TO GOD.
Yet, Jesus promises Him because of his belief in Jesus He would grant him eternal life.
I believe this shows us no matter how far gone you feel or how many bad things you’ve done,
Jesus lets you know you are always ONE PRAYER AWAY from a new beginning.
You wanna know why hitting is weird?
Because you want to create these outcomes in games… i.e. line drives, balls in the gap, homers, etc.
So you work on them in practice. You’re to lift the ball, and hit balls far, etc. and you finish a game 0-for-4 with 2 groundouts and 2 punch outs.
Then you hear someone say: “Today, in BP, i just want you to focus on hitting a ground ball at the opposite field infielders.” That sounds about as intuitive as purposely trying to slam your finger in a car door.
But all of a sudden, you go 3-for-4, with two doubles and a homer.
So as stated above… That would literally be the equivalent of telling Steph Curry to practice shooting on a 4-foot rim before the game, or telling Tom Brady to throw every pass at his receivers feet in warmups.
Practicing hitting is much more about creating the swing that will give you room to make mistakes, then it is about creating optimal outcomes…
