@ajdahlgren @OWHnews Well that’s some bullshit. I have MA36 and 14 years experience and worked hard for that plus work hard at my job. Bullshit to lump us all in a category.
@bethrevelo #tldeuno2022 before we went 1:1 they were chastising us about printing costs, but I think admin is happy with a balance, especially when it’s more expensive to replace tech… and the panic that ensues when internet goes out.
WU I used to jump on every trend, but now as I am training both teachers and students, I think the "less is more" approach is better. Keep your tech simple and give it a purpose in the classroom. #tldeuno2022
@HurtzTracie #tldeuno2022 I agree! People sometimes get upset by standardization but it’s necessary to streamline to make sure everyone knows what to do and how to do it.
A3 We focus a lot in high school on career-readiness skills in the classroom. I think we could align better with what applications/programs are more commonly used in the workplace. #tldeuno2022
A2 My school district became much more open to helping us with district-wide licenses to EdPuzzle & PearDeck during COVID and re-opening, especially when we went 1:1 with Chromebooks. I think they are open to more tech apps as long as it is useful for everyone. #tldeuno2022
@alli_kalal13 Truth! That’s how we got EdPuzzle. At first it was because of the hybrid nature of re-opening, but it really was more cost effective for a building license vs department by department. #tldeuno2022
@teachingwfoster#tldeuno2022 I agree. We thought by training on each app it would help, but it just became overwhelming with so many “at once” trainings.
@HurtzTracie #tldeuno2022 I also didn’t realize they had these resources. I presented at NETA once and it was really cool! It is where I learned about Zoom before Zoom became so big!
I am Jamie Honke, Spanish teacher with Ralston Public Schools and I usually find #edtech resources through colleagues or through collaborative groups online. #tldeuno2022
@MrWennstedt @HurtzTracie #tldeuno2022 I like the “less is more” approach. Especially since students felt incredibly overwhelmed during remote learning. Use tech well, don’t overuse tech.
A1 I had heard of Canva and had plans to learn how to use it, so I'm glad I could use it for this class. I think this would be a great tool to create comprehensible infographics for language students and will pass this along to my teachers. #tldeuno2022
