@7News Misleading to call Envision a hotel. It's a shelter for Mass and Cass. You can't book a room there. The area around it has had lots of drug activity since that happened. The car that was shot up looks a lot like one that hangs around there and neighbors assume is a drug dealer.
@OnlyInBOS Envision Hotel has become a hotbed of drugdealing lately, not surprised the violence has followed. It's being used a shelter for Mass and Cass.
@BostonGlobe I'll just link to my other post, because the city has been ignoring the problems around the Envision Hotel shelter. This shooting was bound to happen with the rampant drug activity the city promotes there. https://t.co/WkZEtpFy8W
@ryanjbreslin@boston25 You should point out that the Envision Hotel is currently being used as a shelter by the city and Craftson Way and that parking lot under the hotel are drug dealing hotspots now thanks to the city's choice to house Mass and Cass residents there.
@ryanjbreslin@boston25 We also don't see the city housing these people in Beacon Hill or Back Bay; the poorer neighborhoods of historic Roxbury always unfairly must bear an excessive share of the burden.

@ryanjbreslin@boston25@CityOfBoston@MayorWu@VictoryPrograms@enV_HotelBoston I don't know how any of them get away with running a shelter there since it is specifically not zoned for such use. It's not currently be used as a hotel, you and I can't book a room there. The zoning code specifically bars such shelters there without a waiver from the SBA.
@boston25 Probably related to the active drug dealing that happens around the Envision Hotel, which @MayorWu has decided to the city is ok paying for. I can't remember the last time I saw a cop over there, but the neighborhood's complaints have gone ignored.
