@NationalCouncil Also Care Managers in Health Homes -- I have about 700 care managers across New York state that I support/mentor and they are lost when it come to this aspect of their job. Any recommendations for training would be appreciated.

@casesnyc @NationalCouncil Isn't this partially because other services require the person to voluntarily consent to receive the services, without a court order that is? Sometimes there is no time for a court order and I find that is when a person ends up in jail - in order to maintain safety. Not ideal!

@NationalCouncil Most mental health providers (like me) do not really understand the criminal justice system. We need more training on this topic...especially when it comes to individuals who have an intellectual/developmental disability and mental health dual diagnosis.
