@notnopricez @James4470830274 Miz didn't say edgey shit to be racist, he used edgey words to be funny because it was the humour of that time. It's retarded to say that saying something edgey with the intention to be funny immediately makes you racist. Also silky just don't fuck with miztits.
@sometimesiwi@Odg1190@realShrigmaMale@BovrilG That's why you can't really say that one single person made a genre or a style. Everyone copies everyone and many people experiment and they share amongst themselves. Like for example, the bounce of ideas between Mick Ronson and Bowie. Mick helped Bowie a lot during the glam era.
@sometimesiwi@Odg1190@realShrigmaMale@BovrilG Genres aren't made by a single person. That has never happened and it never will. Genres are made by a collective group of people that take from the past and create something new. I don't know much about fashion, but it probably also works that way too.
@sometimesiwi@Odg1190@realShrigmaMale@BovrilG Yes, he did that, but other people did too, like I said before, the Velvet Underground were a great inspiration to Bowie, and they were his predecessors, who experimented and made significant records for the Art Rock movement. But, none made their respective genres alone.
@sometimesiwi@Odg1190@realShrigmaMale@BovrilG Especially with Bowie. He was known as a chameleon because of the way he wore his influences on his sleeves. Art is an ever evolving thing that has no known originator, and this process could be summed up with this quote: "good artists copy, great artists steal"
@sometimesiwi@Odg1190@realShrigmaMale@BovrilG Also, Bowie was very much a part of glam rock. He even wrote the song "Lady Stardust", about Marc Bolan, the singer of T.Rex, who was a peer and part of glam rock's style and sound. He dressed and had a very distinctive glam sound like Queen, Alice Cooper, and T.Rex.
@sometimesiwi@Odg1190@realShrigmaMale@BovrilG You did say Bowie created genres "created full on genres and movements and fashion trends". All I'm getting at is both artists were prolific, important to their genres, and had a positive impact in their time. None were perfect, and especially not Kanye.
