Entrepreneur, PR guru, winner. These are just some of the terms which won’t be used to describe me. Bitter Spurs supporter would be a more apt summary.
If you think I’m sad enough to spend my Saturday evening watching a 25 year old Bond film which I’ve seen dozens of times then you’re absolutely right. #GoldenEye
@Ben_White86 I like Romero too, on his day he’s a world class defender, but too often this season we didn’t see the best version of him and when he’s not fully focused it really shows. Feels like it’s probably the right time for all parties for him to move on. He won’t go cheap though.
@CJSpursx Eriksen was undoubtedly a hit (the linchpin of the Poch side and ridiculously underrated). Chadli was very hit and miss but had some good games. I so wanted Lamela to be better for us but he definitely got it and earned his fee for winding up Wilshere.
@purgesis1@David_Ornstein@TheAthleticFC Champion? Are you trying to write the word Championship and got lost part way through? Or are you saying Spurs will be champions? In which case thanks very much.
@footballconfid1 They still try and push this line that they’re plucky underdogs (‘we can’t compete against big spending PSG’) and ignore the fact that they’ve spent huge money during Arteta’s time in charge. They’ve largely recruited well but they have spent plenty.
@AdamSacco@barneyronay Arsenal have spent more than Spurs - by a fair way. That’s not to say we haven’t spent a lot, but our recruitment hasn’t been anywhere near good enough. No one is suggesting Arsenal had to go all gins blazing but surely you had to offer more than that?
@Ben_White86 Exactly. There is some fun to be had in speculating about potential new arrivals but nearly all of it is complete speculation so there really is no point in getting too bothered about it. Some seem to take a rumour as confirmation that something is happening and it rarely is.
@AgmnoKJ98@TomFoins Those sorts of handball decisions are consistently given - particularly in the Champions League. I’m saying that should have continued here, because he handballed it twice.
@AdamSacco@barneyronay You did well to nullify them - but shouldn’t your squad be capable of more than that given how much you’ve spent to assemble it?
@laura_woodsy@TeleFootball That’s not the issue though is it? It’s the total lack of anything even approaching balance or objectivity in the coverage, which is a perfectly reasonable expectation for any broadcaster. You’d hardly have known that PSG were playing and clearly deserved to win.
@AgmnoKJ98@TomFoins Handballs should be given in any competition - it’s part of the rules. I know they don’t usually apply the rules to Arsenal but on this occasion they should have done.
