@ApogeeWiz I missed this, but yes Sweden has a heap ~23 per 100 people. They have similar societal safeguards like AUS with good healthcare, education, living conditions etc. I want America to catch up because I value human life, I'm sure you do too.

Common sense changes made a difference. Small price to pay in my opinion, still room for improvement.

@ApogeeWiz Not outright no. Added some restrictions and requirements yes. I've been around firearms from a young age. Used to shoot competitively, currently hunt and get involved with conservation and pest management. There's still a big culture here about it.

@ApogeeWiz Innocent, how so? I think things are better here because we make efforts to make sure the floor doesn't completely fall out from underneath our most vulnerable citizens. It's not perfect but good healthcare, accessible education, some welfare. Improves society and reduces crime.

@ApogeeWiz We have to present licenses to purchase ammo and certain reloading supplies. Details are entered into a database to purchase powder. Safety courses are mandatory, along with proving a genuine reason to own. Few other conditions too but our firearm homicide rate plummeted

@ApogeeWiz Yes, just about any inanimate object can be used as a weapon, but you cannot deny that firearms were designed to kill. Modern developments like selective fire, high capacity magazines, all make mass casualty events more likely in the event of a shooting.
