Did you know why Willie was called the “Say Hey Kid?”

As a rookie, Willie was meeting so many new people that he could hardly remember everyone’s name.

His solution: greet everyone by shouting ”say hey”! Thus, the legendary nickname was born.

Abbey Murphy was selected 2nd overall by PWHL Seattle in the 2026 PWHL Draft. The Minnesota forward leaves as the program's all-time leading goal scorer (143), led the NCAA in goals and points per game last season, and already owns Olympic gold with Team USA.

Congrats to Landon Thome, the White Sox 34th pick in draft. His dad Jim, elected to HOF in ‘18, was the 331st pick by Cleve in 1989. Landon who committed to FSU, completed hit .533 at Nazareth Academy with 8HR, 63 runs, 35 RBI, & 1.676 OPS. 49 steals as a senior. 📸: Jim Thome
