⚠ Access from the Corwina Park Trailhead is temporarily closed while crews remove debris. There is no bike access from the Corwina Park Trailhead to Rutabaga Ride Trail during this closure. Rutabaga Ride Trail remains accessible from the main trailhead at Lair o' the Bear Park.

STAGE 2 FIRE BAN

Sheriff Reggie Marinelli has ordered a Stage 2 Fire Ban for unincorporated Jefferson County effective 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2.

ALL FIREWORKS are illegal during the Stage 2 Fire Ban. This includes fireworks that may otherwise be considered legal.

Since Stage 1 Fire Restrictions went into effect Monday, fire conditions have continued to worsen. Regional and national preparedness levels have increased, Red Flag conditions have continued with no significant weather relief in the forecast, and measured Energy Release Component values in the southern third of the county have reached the 90th percentile. The northern two-thirds of the county are trending in the same direction.

These factors, along with the conditions that triggered Stage 1 Fire Restrictions, make this move necessary.

All counties and federal jurisdictions adjacent to Jefferson County to the north, west, and south will also be under Stage 2 Fire Ban conditions.

This is not the time to take chances. Follow the fire ban. Do not risk starting a wildfire.

🟢REOPEN: Elk Range Trail at Centennial Cone Park, including the interior of the park, to reopen 6/16. This area of the park was temp. closed for elk calving season.

Please note the Alternating Use Schedule. On weekends, hike & horseback ride on odd dates; bike on even dates.

On 6/6, 85 volunteers took part in National Trails Day at N. Table Mountain Park. They planted 256 native plants, built 600 feet of new trail, maintained 1 mile of trail, restored a 1/2 mile of unauthorized trail, & removed 1.5 acres of invasive weeds. Thanks to our volunteers!
