I just purchased a smoke-CO alarm from Kidde. It was missing a part-the wiring harness. I called Kidde to ask for a replacement and they told me to take it back to Home Depot-which is quite far away-rather than send me the missing part. This is unacceptable for a $69 alarm!
@NASEM_Health#DataSharingChat#DataSharing The best way to make data sharing something we all do is to use extant datasets to help reliably advance diagnostics or therapeutics? A few clear examples will go a long way!
@VivliCenter@AAMC#datasharingchat This is a major problem. If we can get the promotions committees of medical schools, to give "promotion credit" for generating public use datasets, we will have gone a long way toward making sharing more prevalent.
@NASEM_Health#DataSharingchat What we have learned is that there are very few successful third party use cases of trial data-but we know from other fields that opening data enhances the science. We are still waiting for clinical trial data sharing to yield huge benefits.
@NASEM_Health In less than a fortnight's time our workshop on data sharing will be in full swing #DataSharingChat . How do we serve all three constituencies-the patients who put themselves at risk, the clinical trialists, and the data scientists to advance human health?
This is Jeff Drazen-one of the co-chairs of the conference. We have an exciting program all set to roll in less than 2 weeks. What's on your mind in advance of the program?
