i've been teaching piano for almost 10 years, enjoying it but struggling to make a great living from it.

tmrw i start my first tech job as a .NET developer. i'll be more than doubling my income.

i don't have any tech credentials or experience, beyond what i've taught myself.

I'm not an artist, but got my master's in music composition and spend more time thinking about art/music than making it (mostly because I pivoted to SWE). Brahms and Bartok are my hobby horses.

@St_Rev had to put my cat down yesterday. kidney failure and cancer finally caught up to her. ~18 years old, 10 of them with me. wish i had had her those first 8 years, too.

@St_Rev We had that tumor removed too, but a week later her arm and side was covered in tumors. Every night until she died we had to clean that part of her skin with hydrogen peroxide, silver honey, and hydrocortisone. Broke my heart every time.
