I cut this box elder tree (maple family) in winter at some property I have. I left the stump tall so I could pull it after thaw. It’s turned into a sapsickle this cold morning

Since it seemed spring had sprung last week, went on a multi-day/state road trip this week. Discovered Podunk, KY. Didn’t know there was one. You guessed it, not much there, but looked nice. Came back to rain/fog and snow still in the ditches. 😝😂😂
