Our connecting flight from Dallas to Canada has been canceled due to weather. They rebooked us on a flight tomorrow evening.
Weโre gonna miss the Germany match๐
@JudiGatson Wild development.
Also, just wanted to note that all the questions you asked the candidates during the debates I watched were good ones. Thank you.
Actually, that's not the only takeaway.
The other takeaway is that Trump is a chaos agent, and centering a gubernatorial campaign around him is fraught with the risk that he might upend everything (i.e., first the running mate thing, and now the "co-endorsement").
No, he's not.
A federal office holder making an endorsement in a state or local election is not an assault on the 10th amendment.
Rather than pretend that endorsements are some insidious threat, we should just take them for what they're worth (usually not much).
@JoshuaTrolly A few years ago, I was intrigued by the "Fairfax" proposal: The national sales tax with a "prebate" (meant to effective "untax" basic necessities, i.e., make it less regressive).
I liked the idea of taxing transactions, not income, and I hate, hate, hate property taxes.
@rpagesc@LBKirsop Why would anyone want to be anyone's LG pick? The role is politically thankless.
It leaves you in a weak position to run for subsequent office, unless you're a known entity independent of the LG role.
And then you just hope everyone remembers and likes you on that basis?
Props to @AGAlanWilson for using part of his debate question response time to issue instructions to his campaign team.
It was hilarious and also brilliant.
@foxcarolinanews,
Y'all should have told the audience, during the first break after the opening statements, to be quiet for the remainder of the debate. Very frustrating.
Okay, Twitter people,
We're in Cleveland, TN with our high schooler, a prospective @LeeU student. Any recommendations for a church to visit tomorrow morning?
