We are on scene of a crash in Huntersville on Beatties Ford Rd. Two cars are involved. A telephone poll is laying on top of the cybertruck. The other car went off the road. It was on fire when we got here. Medic says one person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries

Steele Creek Division Officers were responding to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call for service in the 8900 of E. Arrowood Rd. Preliminary information indicates that officers attempted a traffic stop on the possible suspect vehicle when an exchange of gunfire occurred. One officer was struck. A suspect was struck. Both individuals were transported with injuries. A firearm was recovered on scene. More information to come from public affairs as it’s available.
