Some people, the last time you had something to do with them should actually be the last time you should have any thing to do with them, be it in form of assistance, doing business or even laughing with them. Some people are not good to encounter the second time honestly
We cannot sincerely love people for who they are except the person loving is God or a parent of the person being loved. There are some traits or factors that endear someone to us and make us to love them. Once those traits or factors go missing, the love is likey to develop wings.
"Love me for who I am"
How does that work?
We can only experience another person through how they affect us.
When someone says, “I love you,” that love is necessarily connected to how you make them feel. You probably bring them security, comfort, ease; you make their burden lighter, you put them on, they have nice moments with you, you make them feel seen.
They admire how you speak, how you think, your outlook on life.
"They" are always involved.
Even your parents love you because you're THEIR child and you make THEM feel like a parent.
The point is not to be all of these things. The point is for someone to experience that 1% side of you that makes them feel good.
And because they're not willing to lose that experience/side of you, they're willing to make sacrifices for you (which is the entire logic — if you'll call it that — behind true love). This happens on the subconscious level.
The irony is, whatever trait you display is still part of who you are. And people will love or hate you based on their experience with the part of you that you manifest before them.
That's why a criminal can be hated by the world and yet loved by his mom.
She doesn't love him because he simply exists. She loves him because of the experience of being his mom.
Therefore, what they call “loving you for you” still involves an internal component: I love you because being connected to you matters to me.
That is also why you cannot simply ask me to love you for who you are. The question you should ask is, what part of you have you shown me?
At the end of the day, my love for you is still about me. Because I can only experience you through me.
The fact is that we will always meet people who appear to be more intelligent, more beautiful, more devout, more respectful, more financially endowed etc than our spouse. The idea is to be content with who you have, avoid comparison and work on who you have.
@KlasickTheHost You need to taste P.H. boli to understand. I'm not attending the NBA Annual General Conference this year but the last time I was in PH in November last year, I had a good experience with their boli.

One day, you’ll meet someone who’s more fascinating than your partner, this can happen even when your partner has done you no wrong.
Get ready to fight your own self and be content with what you have.
