Haha well we’ve all had a lot of fun here on tweeter dot org but when the rich guy who owns the house feels safe enough to show you his Nazi memorabilia, it’s time to make an excuse and head out. I’m easy to find. Thanks for the words.
Very unfortunate circumstances that inspired it obviously but 24 hours where everyone just collectively agreed to post about nothing but how much we love and are going to miss one of the greatest artists ever is probably the most usable this site has been in years.
Amid all the tributes pouring in for David Lynch, it’s the words of Alicia Witt—whom he cast in DUNE at age eight then again, twice, in TWIN PEAKS—that I have found the most moving: “A whole lifetime of memories. A whole life owed.”
what made david lynch's whole thing work — and why his imitators always fail — is that he wasn't really an ironic artist at all, he really did like all that americana stuff he put in his movies and shows
Director-writer David Lynch, who radicalized American film with with a dark, surrealistic artistic vision in films like “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive” and network television with “Twin Peaks,” has died. He was 78. https://t.co/T2GOao28ux
Crazy idea, but what if the same way this guy passes himself off as superhumanly talented at this video game - which is clearly fraudulent to someone familiar with the game, but convincing to anyone else - is the same thing he does in a lot of other aspects of his life?
Perfectly sums up the AI evangelist problem at large: “I want to be seen and valued as a ‘creative’ person, but I don’t actually want to learn and practice a craft. This creates a resentment that must be resolved, but without me having to do the work.”
