TALENT NEEDS STRUCTURE
Most talented people are not broke because they lack skill.
They’re broke because they run their lives like unfinished projects.
No systems.
No timelines.
No packaging.
No distribution.
No consistency.
Talent without structure becomes wasted potential.
By March 27th, I got a job through a referral from Uthman.
I got paid that same day and was put in charge of the project’s X account.
A week later, the project rugged.
I didn’t panic.
I just thought:
“Onto the next.”
So I started job hunting.
Not seriously at first because I was still on break.
Two weeks passed.
No jobs.
That’s when reality started hitting me.
I had just a few days left before resumption and I kept thinking:
“How am I supposed to survive in uni?”
So I changed strategy.
Every night from 11PM to 5AM, I was searching for opportunities.
I got a couple roles.
No paid gigs.
Then one night while scrolling on X, I joined a space hosted by Sultan.
Lord Vibez mentioned how Obasa studies projects for weeks before pitching for a role.
That changed something for me.
I realized I had been moving randomly.
So I picked 3 solid projects.
Instead of rushing to apply, I spent a week studying them.
I analyzed:
- the branding
- the content
- the positioning
- the communication
- the weak points
Then I created a public pitch around one of the projects.
And that got me the gig.
At the same time, I was learning content writing from V, my mentor, and TBL.
I leveraged the skills I already had instead of trying to become something else overnight.
That’s the mistake most people make.
You might be:
. a space host
. an AI creator
. a writer
.an artist
.a designer
But instead of using your skills to position yourself above other candidates…
You just say:
“I’m good at this.”
Most projects don’t care about claims.
They care about visible value.
So show them.
Build proof.
Package your skills.
Create leverage around your talent.
Because no matter how talented you are…
If you don’t structure yourself correctly and position your brand properly,
you’ll never win big.
