So - ozempic for 10 weeks now. Gone from 220-250u per day to 100-120u, TIR from 68 to 85%, 12.5kg off and still on .25 per week. Negligible side effects except for the unemployed deliveroo driver!
@DiabeticDadUK I've started using skin tac before inserting (polite way of saying 'Harpooning Myself') the sensor and (touch wood) not had any unplanned leaks since.
@DiabeticDadUK Medtronic G4 last week same thing - bled that hard it wouldn't stick - why do they only bleed when you decide to change them at the most distant place from toilet rolls/kitchen paper in your house, and the whole house looks like the set from a bad horror movie afterwards?
@DiabeticDadUK When pump having an 'off day' and beeping at me, you'll frequently hear me roaring:
"What the £÷#%£@* do you want NOW!"
Most of my co-workers in the office now realise it's not targeted at them.
Or is it....??? :)
@DiabeticDadUK Funny - as looking at the plants in my fridge - I was on Levimir before pumps and never have used it. My insulin dosage has dropped by approx 40% this year (metformin/weight loss/exercise) so my 'backup dosages' and manual injection rates are completely out of whack now.
@DiabeticDadUK Oh wow - menu tip of the week! How have I never brought these staples of life together before? Cheese & chunky Branston - been eatimg it for a lifetime. Adding to nachos, genius @DiabeticDadUK, pure genius.
@DiabeticDadUK Havnt had a 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' scene since I moved to the Meo Advance, but I'm convinced there is a direct correlation between a gusher and the probability of me wearing a white/light coloured shirt.
Off for an MRI today and, as the great Clint Eastwood said, in the movie - In the Line of Fire: 'Now I gotta put all that sh1t back on again...' afterwards @DiabeticDadUK#gbdoc
