#Asteroid Shiba - The First Ever Shiba In Space!

ca: 0xf280b16ef293d8e534e370794ef26bf312694126

1️⃣ The first Shiba in space, traveling aboard a SpaceX rocket, representing charity, space, technology, and dreams!

2️⃣ Elon Musk has shared videos of Asteroid Shiba multiple times. Liv, the designer of Asteroid Shiba, even attended one of Musk’s talks, participating in a live Q&A session—making #Asteroid the first meme coin to directly engage with Elon!

3️⃣ You can purchase Asteroid Shiba plush from the official @SpaceX and @PolarisProgram stores, with all proceeds donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Our community has come together to purchase these plushies and make on-chain donations in $ASTEROID to support the hospital.

4️⃣ Asteroid Shiba, alongside the Polaris astronauts, made history by traveling the farthest distance from Earth ever recorded.

5️⃣ During SpaceX’s live broadcast of the spacewalk, Asteroid Shiba was featured prominently, with its design and story highlighted.

6️⃣ Liv Perrotto, the designer of Asteroid Shiba, is a passionate space enthusiast who can recount every space rocket mission. After surviving cancer in 2021, Liv hopes to follow in the footsteps of Hayley Arceneaux—a fellow cancer survivor and astronaut. She aspires to be the first astronaut child and was invited by Polaris to design the zero-gravity indicator, Asteroid Shiba.

7️⃣ The design of Asteroid Shiba was inspired by Elon Musk’s Shiba Inu, Floki. Liv hopes Elon loves it and wants to inspire kids everywhere: “If Asteroid Shiba can go to space, so can they”. Everyone should chase for their own dreams!

Video of Liv’s conversation with @elonmusk is as below:

This video made by one of our community members before Liv passed away. We hope she can see that we’ve brought Asteroid to the whole world.

Asteroid doesn’t just float in zero gravity in space, it has also lit up the dreams of so many people.

Thank you, Liv. We miss you.

[ASTEROID SHIBA @Asteroidcto]

We also hope @PolarisProgram can restock Asteroid in their official store at the same time!

Asteroid was the zero-g indicator for the Polaris Dawn mission. It floated with the crew in microgravity, carrying Liv's dream and supporting @StJude.

Bring it back would mean a lot.

[ASTEROID SHIBA @Asteroidcto]

In 2024, we purchased some adorable Asteroid. Every single purchase helped donate to @StJude to support children fighting cancer.

Now, Asteroid has become the official mascot of SpaceX, we really hope they can reopen sales soon, we’ve seen so many people saying they want one!

This is a regret our community still hasn’t fulfilled yet. We went to Japan, but we didn’t get to take a photo with the Shiba statue. Liv’s dream scene!

If any ASTEROID Shiba friends are heading to Japan soon, please help us take a picture ❤️
