@kjc_2599 Ticket prices are an issue. But they have almost zero media presence. Seems every outlet only wants to cover the Flames. Sure, maybe a passing story about the Stamps but well after 10 minutes of Flames coverage. It’s like they’re the ugly stepsister.
@DaBeliEnjoyer@DunedinBlueJays@BlueJays A run on an inside the park HR that took a huge bounce off the wall. Hard to blame him, other than giving up the initial hit. 🤷♂️
Calgary will be implementing water restrictions starting March 9 to allow critical reinforcement repairs on the Bearspaw South Feeder Main.
This is necessary work, and it's exactly why I've been raising concerns about infrastructure maintenance and capital delivery. These pipes needed attention long before they started failing. The good news is the City is acting now, during early spring, to get ahead of the high-demand summer months.
Full details from the City are attached. Key points below (you know the drill):
🚫 No outdoor water use starting March 9
🚿 Short showers (3 min or less)
🧺 Full loads only for dishwashers and washing machines
🚽 Flush only when necessary

The president of the transit union, Sukhwinder Singh, told Regina’s mayor and council that the city’s brand new $2M electric buses are only drivable for 1.5-3 hours in the winter before their battery dies.
Regina currently has 7 electric buses in its fleet with 13 more planned for delivery in 2026 as part of the city’s climate change action plan. They had a combined cost of $50M+ which was split between the city and the federal government.
