The moment school resumes, the @ONgov concept of “social circle of 10 = safe” will be breached for most of us. @PublicHealthON leadership needs to acknowledge this and guide Ontarians on how to safely restructure their intra-pandemic lives in the post-#SchoolReopening world.
Recall that @TDSB found a “cheap” and “simple” way to reduce class sizes and that was by reducing instructional time by 48 minutes a day. This would have been a solution so many parents would have welcomed. How can put this back on the table? #SafeSeptemberON#OntEd
H&PE teachers often take on responsibilities for whole school health, physical activity & physical education programming. H&PE teachers are seen as leaders in local school communities & rightfully so. H&PE has been foundational during this crisis & will be as schools re-open.
Dr. Campbell makes a key point regarding smaller classes. Not only are they critical for H & S of students and staff but the educational benefits are crucial as we return from the emergency remote learning made necessary by Covid-19. #SafeSeptember@fordnation@Sflecce
well, the schools are open.
53 schools in Scotland and Northern Ireland have seen coronavirus outbreaks – with at least 106 pupils and teachers infected and more than 19,000 pupils in isolation after potential exposure.
