A long weekend in the dampervan at East and West Wittering for Bilbo’s-fest 2026, a total of 12 Bilbo campervans on the same campsite and then 32 vans and their owners on Saturday at West Wittering beach for the annual meet up.
Solo van trip, with Fluffy the geriatric Staffie-Doodle 🐶, to Bramley Park Camping near Eastbourne in East Sussex. A chilled two night stay doing absolutely nothing.

From home to Abbots Wood & past Arlington Reservoir, onto the Old Coach Road ,then up the A27 to Lewes & onto South Downs Way to Alfriston and back home.

A 30-mile cycle ride starting and finishing in the historic town of Battle, site of the famous Battle of Hastings. The route loops through scenic countryside with plenty of ups and downs, in the East Sussex Alps, passing Bodiam Castle and through Robertsbridge.
Spring Garden Show Damper-Van Day Trip
A local day trip to the spring garden show at Herstmonceux Castle this year instead of Firle Place, went for a wander around the Castle and Castle grounds and the, lovely sunny day for it, quite warm when the wind dropped.

A 25-mile gravel loop that connects chalk tracks, bridleways, and short road sections through the East Sussex part of the South Downs.
Four nights at Cheddar Bridge touring park
Day two was spent in Cheddar Village, the Gorge and caves.
Day three was spent in Wells.
Day four was a lazy day doing nothing.
With a side trip on our way home to Kingston Lacey (National Trust) near Wimborne Minster.

Amberley Village Damper-Van Day Trip
Phyllis the VW_T5 Komba needed some exercise to burn of some of the excess calories from Xmas, she took us to Amberley for a chilly but sunny walk around the village and then down to the Riverside cafe for lunch.
