It's finally happening.

Every player on the women's tennis tour now has to prove she is female.

The WTA brought in a one-time SRY gene screen on July 21. Cheek swab, blood or saliva. It applies to everyone, including all four Grand Slams, and the tour pays for it.

A positive result means you do not play in the women's category.

Tennis is the first major women's league to make it universal.

Why can't the WNBA do the same ?
