This does so much for politicians being seen as humans. It does so much for people of all genders being able to admit their jobs take a toll.
We’re all in a slightly better world because of this speech.
All day everyday I’m told the same thing by our grassroots community groups, “we shouldn’t be doing this work, this is the job of government, but we’re too busy doing the work to change that”. Local activism is being systemically silenced and under-funded.
