🚨Another attack on a Jewish institution today in Toronto. A Jewish girl's school is the latest target. Two men opened fire, shooting 5 rounds at Bais Chaya Mushka Elementary School. Can we be surprised that violence escalates when there is no deterrence following antisemitic attacks on Jewish students?

As #Hanukkah's eight days begin, I would like to send my best wishes to Ontario's vibrant and valued Jewish community.

This year, Hannukah celebrations for many families will not be as bright or celebratory as they ought to be. For all those struggling and mourning, I hope that the spirit of Hannukah, of bringing light into darkness, is fulfilled this holiday season. Let us not forget the stories of miracles and hope that the Jewish community have blessed us with.

The blood of dead babies - Israeli & Palestinian - is on #Hamas.

Rhetoric like PM @JustinTrudeau's today enables Hamas to continue to cynically & criminally use the Palestinian civilian population as human shields to advance its genocidal goal. And, while surely not his intent, such assertions also fuel #Antisemitism at home here in #Canada.

Unless #Israel destroys Hamas, Hamas will continue to destroy the hopes of Palestinians & Israelis alike to pursue a future of peace.

If Canada wants to contribute to the goal of sustainable peace, it will stand firmly with Israel as it toils to remove the murderous Hamas regime from Gaza. Anything less condemns the region to perpetual suffering for all.
