@SageKnowsAll I agree. There is that injunction on the press not being allowed to release school photos of the kids. Wouldn't that need to come from BP?
@PNWAgNetwork This is so disappointing to hear as a Washington state resident who loves to eat locally grown food. We need to do better. Farmers deserve to make a decent living. They do some of the most important work on Earth.
@GoodRanchers Is there any way that I as a consumer can make sure I'm buying American beef that doesn't involve buying half a cow? My garage freezer isn't that big.

@TheAtlantic@Tyler_A_Harper There are so many brilliant points in this piece, but one of them is how unethical it is to have teens and their parents cough up $376,000 for a liberal arts degree, while at the same time paying untenured professors and lecturers so little that some of them require SNAP.
๐ Orcas from the pier!
Talk about being in the right place at the right time. A viewer captured this incredible video of a pod of orcas swimming past the Edmonds Fishing Pier on Monday afternoon.
Have you ever spotted orcas from shore? Tell us where in the comments! ๐

@seattletimes Even though this happened in the Seattle Center, the #1 tourist destination of all of Seattle "there were no cameras that captured the shooting." That's appalling. I've served as a juror on a murder trial before and video footage is everything.
@allandray08@SBarrettBar@janeclarejones I definitely do not mean to defend Diana here, at all, but for the sake of historical record, didn't she also review books for a newspaper?
I'm at the point where I'm ready to get rid of all of my Alexa devices because the Alexa+ update is so bad and creepy. It's too chatty, keeps trying to find out my name, and it listens in and contributes to conversations unprompted. Alexa Plus is intrusive.
Itโs amazing to me how little even people in education know about the new SAT.
Itโs online and adaptive, meaning students literally get different tests. The longest reading passages are just 120 words. Analogies, once a crucial way to test a studentโs ability to think relationally and connect ideas, are completely gone. Founding documents are gone as well, and the test is Common Core aligned.
This is not your parentsโ SAT. Itโs not even the SAT from a few years ago.
Funny how tours and rooms at Buckingham Palace could be procured for Andrewโs buddies - Ghislane Maxwell & Kevin Spacey to name a fewโฆ
But for Prince Harry the answer was no.
@MrDixonMath It works in American Kindergarten classroom if you have parents running the other groups. This used to be called "Kindergarten centers" and it was awesome. The trouble is that now parent volunteerism seems to be at an all-time low, perhaps due to the increased cost of living.
