EXTRA! EXTRA! Prominent politician takes quid pro quo money from special interests & corporate donors and gives them special favors in plain sight!
It’s not just 1 person or 1 party & it permeates through all levels & forms of Gov. Sooooo what to do with such news?
@MeghanMcCain As told to me by friends/family members who are doctors, & my own doctors I’ve been asking WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON for years now bc it’s been blatantly obvious that many of their medical directives don’t make sense given “the science”, data, outcomes - or pretty much anything
@MeghanMcCain One issue is most doctors just follow the AMA guidelines set by the info and directiives given to the AMA by the CDC and FDA. They do this under the threat of losing their license or being sued so even if they KNOW the guidelines don’t scientifically make sense most fall in line
@MeghanMcCain Every doctor I had (except for ONE really great OB who knew the “guidelines” were absolutely BS/useless 🙄) during my pregnancy told me such a shocking amount of ridiculously incorrect & counterintuitive info that I’m not suprised by any of this or the chaos happening now.
@therealroseanne Was there demand directly from the administration or more indirectly by association or the network’s perceived aligned political interests? Both are plausible but they’re also very different scenarios, albeit equally important for people to be aware of and to understand.
I’m one person. I don’t think Jimmy Kimmel or Roseanne should’ve been fired. Are you truly unaware of ppl who support free speech regardless of personal beliefs/political affiliation? Or just being deliberately divisive/ disingenuous? I don’t know, so I’m genuinely asking you.
@isdpcman@JimWilliamsPI@atensnut Ugh. The lord giveth & taketh away regarding your 1st comment vs this comment. Wouldn’t YOU hire the best attorney you could afford for yourself/your family? Trump does. I would too. Wouldn’t you? Hiring a high priced lawyer doesn’t automatically imply anything.
@isdpcman@atensnut This is the most thoughtful, intelligent, rational, sane current response. Anyone who *sincerely* cares about what happened/why & what we can do as individuals/as a country to be better: pls consider pausing instead of drawing conclusions, making snap judgments or placing blame
@92675mom@MeghanMcCain “Geriatric pregnancy” has usually been considered pregnancy at 35+ which is interesting & hilarious considering it means about half the woman having babies in the U.S. are geriatric and pregnant. That means me, most of my peers, my mother, and even HER grandmother were all 👵🏻🤳🏻👶🏼
@Fargo_Grandma@justin_hart@MeghanMcCain Your advice is the advice that I rigorously try to follow: “Drink every minute in. It goes by so fast.” Yes it does! Congratulations on becoming grandparents. My parents became grandparents parents in their 70s and then became grandparents again in their 80s so ya never know
@MeghanMcCain I want to know more about the experience. Being pregnant at 36 was such a breeze that I’m not sure if it makes me unreasonably afraid or UNafraid of pregnancy in my mid 40s. I’m not pregnant, but I’m not totally over the idea of having another child which might just be bonkers.
@covidbagofdicks I think this is policy for NYC/NYS schools too. They left it ambiguous. The enail sent home spring 2025 to parents said students with covid can return when they test negative OR no symptoms for X amount of days. In 2022 I know my daughter did NOT have to test negative to return
@Mssarahmssarah 1goodtern I know (for sure) of a few reasons why there’s an increase in developmental delays. And I’ve also been researching a few other reasons that seem highly plausible but I’m unsure/can’t prove bc it’s difficult to get data/access to info needed to assess. (Covid included)
@Mssarahmssarah@1goodtern I noticed this too and have become a bit obsessed with this trend over the past decade. Covid could be a cause or another contributing factor to rising numbers BUT the trend was already present and rapidly increasing before Covid.
@LizWolfeReason Need depends on zip code. One MAJOR issue isn’t about NEED, it’s about freedom, autonomy & actual FEAR of enrolling 3-4 year olds in school bc of government overreach & the deeply troubling authoritarian DOE rule over 3K/Pre-K attendance, monitoring, & management of parents
@LizWolfeReason This particular group of young ppl might actually live in the same 6 zip codes in BK (and one or two on-campus zip codes in Manhattan) so I WILL give you that
@LizWolfeReason Is calling 18-25 year olds childless supposed to be an insult and/or do you think it makes them different and out of touch? Most 18-25 year olds don’t have kids. Most people in the U.S. under 35 don’t have kids, so that’s the majority of the population.
