I came to the Capitol, ready to be sworn in and get to work for the people of Southern Arizona. Instead, Speaker Johnson chose to delay, denying our community the representation we deserve.
Imagine this: you're in Nebraska, and Biden literally saved your farm with funds from the inflation reduction act. Then you vote for Trump because you "hate democratic policies." Now you're about to lose your farm because of Trump. That's crazy.
The fact that Black women saying “y’all are on your own” has all these people snot nose crying, making TikTok’s, apologizing, making friendship bracelets, & trying to set up marches should tell you everything you need to know.
Latino voters did not vote against their interests, if you understand that the person who gets into a treehouse has an “interest” in pulling up the ladder behind them.
Trump only promised to push the “bad” Latinos out of the tree… and they’re confident that doesn’t mean them.
Your grandmother’s 40 yr old bf committed statutory r@pe & impregnated your mother when she was 14 yrs old. Your mother had 3 of his kids by the time she was 18 & had to resort to selling drugs to take care of you & your siblings. If anybody should be pro-choice it’s you.
Black people are relatively well prepared for what’s about to happen because it’s happened to us before. America has done this to us before. It’s just about to widen the aperture to a bunch of people who ain’t used to it.
I don’t think it’s helpful to wish people ill. Latinos wanted this man. I hope that works out for them. White women had a chance to restore abortion rights. They declined. I hope that works out for them.
People get the country they deserve.
No need to nasty, y’all picked your winner…All we can do is be hopeful and wish the best. Before Kamala joined the race, we knew how this country is set up and what was probably going to happen but it was so inspiring how she fought and changed so many minds, including mine.
This isn't the point (at all), but you can't look at how Harris's silk press is staging a full revolt in the damp and humidity and try to tell me you believe she ain't.... nvmd
Saddened by the passing of New Jersey’s own Cissy Houston — a Grammy-winning artist and backup singer to Aretha Franklin and Elvis.
I’ll forever be grateful that Cissy stood by my side when I first ran for governor. She has a heart of gold and will be dearly missed.
Can I just step back for a second and say that it is RIDICULOUS that we live in a "democracy" where Kamala Harris is going to clearly, overwhelmingly, win the popular vote... and yet that doesn't matter in the slightest and everybody just blithely accepts that it doesn't matter.
