The hideous & narrow curriculum is a disaster. We are failing our young people & battering teachers with notions of "inclusion" & "quality first teaching" & "mastery". These words are misleading & have eroded true adaptive teaching.

@naomicfisher @le0nardpoetry I think this also highlights a significant problem with our curriculum. Metaphors are a complex and somewhat abstract concept - why does the system require this of children so young? I believe our children need more autonomy, more play and less objective ticking.

@tes @educationgovuk This is not, in any way, surprising! Schools are pressure cookers loaded with so many expectations! Teachers are leaving the profession and children don't want to be there! We need a COMPLETE overhaul of the education system!

@bennewmark Not a chance. I have my own tutoring business-so I support children at their level and pace and work in teacher training also. I run my own diary and have a life also. I would not want to return to a system which I feel is broken and actually damaging children.
