Nothing should require an app. There should always be an alternative. You should always be able to leave your cell phone at home or not own one at all. This applies to everything but especially for something as basic as parking.
Britain has paid Norway over £100 billion for oil and gas imports since 2021. For oil and gas from the same North Sea that the Labour government deliberately locked up by banning new oil and gas licences.
Insanity. National self harm.
@Suff_highways Do you also cover (or unblock! 🙊) sliproads off the A14?
Westbound A14 ASDA Whitehouse Ipswich sliproad has a couple that looked blocked, one has grass growing out of it 🙈
A major part of fixing a decaying Britain should be a national push to clean up the country and create civic pride. Even the basics aren’t being done. Britain is rotting from within. And it affects people’s mood when all they see is dirty streets, rubbish everywhere, potholes, filthy buildings, boarded up shops and weeds growing from the pavements. Over to you @andyburnham…
Unpopular opinion: I don’t want to see technology evolve any more. I hate that everything needs an app. I hate scanning a QR code just to see a menu. I hate creating an account for every thing. I hate that appliances, light bulbs, cars all want to connect to Wi-Fi. I hate self-checkout becoming the norm. I hate calling a business and talking to a robot instead of a person. I hate that everything requires a password, a verification code, or another subscription.
388 million Christians now live under severe persecution.
Over 25.000 Christian properties were attacked in just one year.
Over 3500 Christian churches was attacked in just one year.
1 in 7 Christians worldwide now live under severe persecution.
It is time to stand up for persecuted Christians.
It’s beyond terrifying that you can dedicate your life to public service, reach 78 and be bludgeoned to death, hit in the head with a hammer 21 times in your own home, with the police caught desperately trying to downplay it, yet the story lasts less than two weeks in the news cycle because she had the wrong political views.
Ann Widdecombe deserved better. The establishment is truly evil.
People need to understand that those who have gone through trauma experience things differently.
If you went through abandonment as a child, a breakup others would get over in months can take years to overcome.
If you went through domestic abuse, even small changes in a loved one's tone can make you anxious.
If you were belittled your whole childhood, being professionally criticised at work can feel like the end of the world.
Trauma affects us for a long time after it occurs.
Who agrees that MPs should consistently have their wealth checked in order to stamp out corruption?
MPs should also be squeaky clean & should have any criminal records made public.
We need honest politicians not crooks.
I can understand that some are genuine refugees.
What I can't understand is why there are no old people, no women, and no children...among them
Why are they all fit young men ?
Are no old people, women or children genuine refugees?
We've caught up with Series 10 of #Grantchester, probably the best run for a while.
A shame we only have one more series to go, it feels like it has more life in the old dog yet.
