@punished_cait My husband also doesn't want to share his food or drink until he has had the first taste. I think it is silly I can't have a dip when I'm carrying drinks from the bar to our table, but again, it's not hard to respect the boundary even if it's not one I empathize with

@punished_cait My dad never shared food. He wanted to eat his food. No, he would not trade for a bite of your food. He didn't have an eating disorder or issues of money and scarcity.

It was a quirk and a boundary we thought was silly, but our entire family respected. It's not hard to respect

@nursekelsey My uncle tested positive for COVID yesterday and had to miss his little brother's funeral. Wearing a mask prevents community spread. I would hate to be the one to get someone sick and have them have to miss something like that (or end up seriously ill)

@nursekelsey Pressure from my scientist spouse! Plus we have small kids-- they've gotten their Vax, but they can't get boosted yet. And I don’t want to be sick and still have to provide for all their needs.

@blackpnwkiki It's because, to white people, Will was our "black friend." We watched his movies/tv show and feel like we know the man. We don't actually know him and now we gotta deal with the fact that we don't actually have a black friend.

I agree. Breakthrough infections with mild symptoms don't seem so bad until you think about mild symptoms lasting for years

@mdnij34 I get a flu shot every year, to prevent getting sick with a variant of the influenza virus. Might as well get a COVID shot too. If it's offered more than once a year, then I'll go more than once a year. Like I go to the Dentist for preventative care every six months
