@_ZachGriff I just flew on a 737-800 on United with Starlink and it was perfect connection the whole flight. They need to deploy it across whole fleet ASAP to keep their clients happy IMHO.
Dear author: The written content in the card appears to be written in the style of AA Milne, Pooh-Piglet or Pooh-Eeyore conversational…quotes from Pooh stories have been in friendship cards for ages. AA Milne is an English author - Pooh, an English bear, living in an English forest a few hours from Oxford. Christopher Robin Milne (who was used by his father as a symbolic character in the stories) grew up IRL in a wealthy family in England. The content you’ve reported on has a very sophisticated style of writing. Did anyone explore the possibility that this parody-stylized conversation was written by a person raised in a formal English school setting? The language evocative of a famous English author’s style would require someone with formal training in writing to have penned this. This is probably too serious and objective for this social media platform. I’ll apologize in advance. No bias here, just trying on an objective and curious lens.
This pretty much applies to all homes built before 1950 in SF, part of the process is determining if your architect was an “important” historical figure or whether the home was lived in by one. In our case, one mention unrelated to architecture at all in a newspaper from the 1920s declared the home historic. They are using a CA law CEQA to justify actions here. Since our experience in 2013, this SF dept has BALLOONED with staff and bureaucracy. For us, when this initiative for launched, they denied the plans the HOA had approved. Then an SF planner told us we needed set-backs & to leave front facade intact & she made us draft entirely new plans based upon this drawing. This not only cost the original fee to the review board, it cost a re-do of architect plans & delays & a re-review by HOA. Costing thousands and thousands. Then in a non public mtg, the hist. review & planning board actually denied the NEW plans that were BASED ENTIRELY UPON THE SF PLANNER’S GUIDANCE. By some miracle, we had asked in the original review mtg for the SF hist. planner to SKETCH her recommendation of what would clear the planning bd, we had her sign & date it & give us a photocopy. Thankfully when we were denied AGAIN, the head of planning dept, Jeff Joslin (at the time), stepped in to override the nonsense. The fact that this dept has grown so much is just another example of over-reach SF govt….seemingly well-intentioned but terribly inefficient. hopefully, we can see progress under our new Mayor.
Thrilled that the JPMorgan Healthcare Conference is coming back next year. While we still have work to do, this is a huge vote of confidence in our city and everything we're doing to make SF a safe and welcoming place for residents, businesses & visitors.

@NotElonMusk639@elonmusk How can I get my Dad to see SpaceX? He’s 80, worked at Bell Labs for decades & on missile tech in Kwaj in early 1970s. He knows all history of SpaceX, watches every launch. To meet you & engineers is a dream. P.S. Pls swing by and get those astronauts.
@CALFIRELNU Big shout-out to the outstanding team at CAL FIRE. We were driving on Chalk Hill at the time. Their response time & incredible efforts made all the difference, fire was right next to a horse and livestock property and could have been a heart-breaking outcome. Thank you! ❤️
@pir8z40 This was started a white pickup truck whose front tire was on fire and who fled the scene. Looked like his tire(s) blew out. We were driving no. on chalk hill and he came speeding down the middle of road straight at us. We swerved to avoid him and then came the fire at 12300.
