@kennethryan2@Lowes Exactly our conundrum. But I will never EVER shop at Lowes again. NEVER. I will be looking at True Value Hardware, Harbor Freight etc.
Did Musk buy Twitter to break it--to break the grass-roots source of resistance communication like Black Twitter and anti-gun Twitter etc? We know he wants to give a platform to violence-inciting deceivers, but is there more to this?
@Realisphere I completely agree. The man put a lot of people in a bad place (while also shooting himself in the foot). It's extremely disrespectful to the people who work there, most of whom are now gone--some of whom are the only ones who knew certain pertinent things about the company.
@plotwench@Lowes That is the next step if the PayPal dispute doesn't budge anything. My spouse and I have already discussed it. It feels ridiculous that we have to be thinking of strategies like this.
@The_Real_Big_Al @Lowes But that is good to know about PayPal. I've heard grumbling about the service over the years, but that was a factor I wasn't aware of. What do you use instead?
@The_Real_Big_Al @Lowes This is my first problem with them. They at least are trying to resolve it, which is more than I can say for Lowes who keeps repeating the same messages to me over and over, some of which simply don't make any sense (like saying they issued a refund before payment went through.)
@ThePenDrake To us it looked perfectly healthy. A native tree--either sugar maple or red maple. But it was huge and right in front of the house. Maybe they needed the light. Still sad. If I'd really been thinking I would have tried to clone that tree a long time ago.
@KateUK101 By using this service, we're directly giving Musk ad revenue. He's making money on us while ruining the lives of a lot of people. Again--not pointless. I have moral standards. I can't support his business practices.
