He was an IIM Lucknow graduate.

He got a job with Indian Oil Corporation as a sales officer.

His territory was Uttar Pradesh.

He found that petrol pump dealers were adulterating fuel and cheating customers.

He reported it. He sealed the pumps.

On November 19 2005 a petrol pump owner shot him dead outside his office.

He was 27 years old.

The killers were convicted. Sentenced to life imprisonment.

His parents did not get compensation for 15 years.

His college created the Manjunath Shanmugam Trust in his name to fight corruption.

Some men die because they refused to look the other way.

India forgets them too quickly.

Now that @AdityaDharFilms has EXPLODED a ATOMIC BOMB right under the film industry, what is shocking is the loud silence from the rest of the film industry .

I don’t know whether this is because the #Dhurandhar2 ‘s devastating explosion has hurled everyone else in the film industry so far into OUTER SPACE that their applause cannot reach here due to the long distances , OR whether they’re huddled in denial, whispering to each other , “It’s just propaganda… it will go away soon ,” so that they can crawl back and resume making their same old repetitive films.
OR are they just paralysed by the film’s sheer brilliance , realising that whatever they’ve been making or planning to make , now simply cannot measure up?
But isn’t it extremely unwise to ignore a DINOSAUR like #Dhurandhar2 staring you in the face and BREATHING FIRE into your eyes with its BOX OFFICE ROAR shaking the very ground beneath their feet , how can anyone be so foolish enough to look away?

My sincere advice to all my colleagues in the film industry is to please take #Dhurandhar2 deadly seriously and study it like a ultra fresh course in filmmaking and educate yourselves OR risk being buried forever in the graveyard of pre March 19th 2026 cinema.🙏

Khamenei was killed on February 28th. He was the political head of Iran and religious head of Shiates across the world. Etiquette demands that our Prime Minister immediately convey his condolences. I don't know whether our Prime Minister has conveyed condolences so far.

Vikram Misri, our foreign secretary offered condolences only on March 5th.

Once Iran started attacking infrastructure in gulf countries, our Prime Minister called head of each country and conveyed India's concern. But he never called and conveyed concern when around 170 innocent girl children were killed in Iran by US bombings.

And BJP supporters started glorifying that India has taken a side in the war. India's neutrality is it's biggest strength. We are going to gain zilch by being identified as an US supporter.

Even NATO countries condemned school attack. Even Pakistan offered condolences for Khamenei's death.

It is perfectly fine to have good relationship with US and Israel. But avoiding even basic etiquette to countries inimical to them is not good for us. An enemy of Israel and US is not an enemy of India.

We need to define our relationship with each country based on our self interest and national priorities. It doesn't matter whether that country is a friend or enemy of US.

Already US is fighting Israel's war which in my view is a most stupid decision. There is no need for us to take any sides.

I'm neither an astrologer nor have extraordinary insights into happenings.

This is a war which US should not have started at Israel's insistence. Trump should have seriously thought through as to why all his predecessors refused to do what he is doing now.

I don't understand why our Prime Minister went to Israel just before the beginning of the war and implied that we are very close to Israel. Very poor optics.

Initially many BJP supporters cheered India has clearly conveyed as to whose side we are on. Only few days after beginning of war, India tried to maintain a balance. I'm no fan of either Khamenei or Iran. We had a good working relationship with Iran. I'm clueless why as a country we did not even offer formal condolences for the death of Khameni. We do it even for Pakistan.

In geopolitics, tables keep changing. We need to balance our relationship with all stakeholders.

Our self interest, survival and future growth- these are what counts for us. There is no need for us to take any side.

Oman who was intermediating between US and Iran said that Iran has agreed to all the conditions stated by US. Hours before US started bombing Iran, Oman foreign minister met JD Vance and personally conveyed this too.

Iran started attacking oil infrastructure of middle east. Strait of Hormuz, which never got closed by Iran during the past conflicts, is closed now. Iran has threatened that it is now going to attack data centers of American companies and banks in the gulf region.

US has started a war it cannot finish. What Israel wants need not be the goal of other countries. The reality is it is upto Iran to stop the war. Otherwise the problems in middle east would become perennial.

Trump talking up the equity or talking down oil prices would not help for long. The world would look for stopping of conflict in middle east. That cannot happen without buying in of Iran too.
