@itscoachgoodman Consider creating a new wallet and inviting the hacker to return the large portion of the BTC (perhaps leaving 1 btc as a reward) with a promise not to pursue further legal action. This story has gone viral, good chance they see it and at least consider it. Good luck..
@chrisramsay52 “If you had the opportunity to take one item from the hanger/ lab, what would it be?” - perfect set up to get him talking about what he may already have without being too obvious. Well done 👏
@chrisramsay52 Fantastic! If you think of it during the interview, please ask him how his team (or previous people before him) determined that the fuel source was 115? Mass spectrometry? Other methods? Always wondered how they came to that conclusion and couldn’t find a good answer anywhere.
@chrisramsay52@BrianJa24362347@LuigiVenditelli Big fan of the show and will definitely check out the new doc. Something to consider about this photo though. If we’re saying those are hanger doors, are these also supposed to be hanger doors? My opinion, this pic is way too grainy. Might be creating patterns out of random noise
@LaFrogman Before going too far, look into laser and product safety regulations for consumer products. May be a show stopper depending on laser power levels.
@Martyupnorth_2 I was curious so I ran the numbers. At 10% interest for a 83,200$ 25y mortgage, you’d pay a total of ~223,200$. At 5%, for a 468,000$ 25y mortgage, you’d pay a total of ~816,500$. Divide by the median income, you’d get a ~9.4 ratio in 1985 and ~10.9 in 2025. Pretty close to me.
@Martyupnorth_2 Yes, but lending rates in 1985 were around 10%. Rates are around 5% today. I haven’t done the math but I bet the total home cost over the life of the mortgage is actually pretty close.
@chrisramsay52 If ever the government admits to reverse engineering NHI crafts, there will still be some people who say « sure.. but Bob didn’t work on it » even if the odds of correctly calling that out in the 80s was like a billion to 1 ..
@mortal1133 @3pargolf@mario4thenorth That’s a concern some people have yes. Not sure how much of an impact those sites really have a saying votes though. I personally wouldn’t change my vote regardless of what any advance polls or betting markets say. They’re also still pretty niche. Worth considering though.
@mortal1133 @3pargolf@realmocktheleft@mario4thenorth If you assume that the majority of participants are acting rationally and place bets based on factual information, you can expect sites like polymarket to have more accurate odds then polls. It’s not just individuals placing bets, it’s also hedge funds with lots of ressources.
