@AsieRugby@RErraital It's more like a young development team, and the better Chinese players did not play in this, they played in ARC weeks ago. Some of the Chinese players can play with the first team several years ago, because it's the time when the level of the first team aren't that high.
@AsieRugby As a Chinese person, I can say that in Hong Kong, perhaps only 5% of people have heard of the Rugby World Cup, while in China, that number is probably less than one in a thousand. But the Olympics are a topic of interest for everyone. This is Asia, not Europe.
@AsieRugby Furthermore, Hong Kong China is currently the top team in Asia for rugby 7s. I hate to say that, but qualifying for LA2028 would be a more significant achievement for Hong Kong (and China) than qualifying for the Rugby World Cup.
@AsieRugby Now, the Hong Kong rugby team is starting from a lower point, but they are rapidly improving their level by providing 100 weeks of professional training to former semi-professional players, which is actually similar to what Chile Rugby did a few years ago.
