In this fight against impunity, we should not only focus on the corrupt government but also the exploitative private sector that thrives on the corrupt systems and the ignorance of the people.
Oddy knew he was dying soon, yet, he didn’t mince words and never doused his passion. He posted every tweet since March 2022 knowing he’d be gone soon. They gave him 6 months, yet he left no room for the accommodation of anything he considered BS!
So, you can’t mock him in death. He wasn’t living hoping that you’d be kind to him in death.
If he did, he’d have spent a lot of his last tweets being apologetic for his views. He never was.
If even as someone who hated or despised him you don’t respect that, then you aren’t worthy of standing side by side with that soldier, even as enemies.
You aren’t worth his enmity. Because you can’t touch the elm of his bravery and sense of commitment to his stands!
True soldiers know when one of their kind has just passed. It never matters whether they fought on his side or fought against him.
Because the valour and bravery needed to be a true soldier overlaps across beliefs, badges and boundaries.
Even if we hadn’t reconciled, seeing what he was going through and watching him still standing on his beliefs in those late hours, I’d have raised my hat to him in death.
Because no matter what you believe or defend, there are those you’d prefer are fighting on your side. He was one of those. I will fight on the side of his family while I can!
PS: Except they come into your TL, there is no use stopping these people from saying what they feel about him. You don’t know how much they suffered in his hands. Spare them a few more days of suffering in battle with his resting soul!

22 years after the term “Africa rising” was coined, can we still say that Africa is rising?
In the end, the success of an IMF program depends on the commitment of the country’s leadership to the continued implementation of structural policy changes.

The US Fed's FOMC's Nov 2022 minutes: To focus on the terminal rate or the pace?
Despite the doves cooing, I believe the case for a higher terminal rate overshadows the case for a slower pace of rate hikes.
