@TheCity0fChamps Kirby Dach is currently averaging 44 GP/ season. There’s no way he warrants anything significant as a trade chip. I like him, don’t get me wrong and would like to have him on the Oilers.. but he would have to be cheap.
@RaskDS40@DJ_Bean@domluszczyszyn I doubt it, I think he was asked to waive and obliged with a limited trade list. There were reports Bowman was going to meet with him and discuss where he was at and I think the “he asked for a trade” is a bit exaggerated. Personal opinion though reading between the tea leaves
@ahops1916@Oiler_Country@JustinOilers Points wise he is a step up, sure. Kap is projected for about 3.1M,
Mikheyev 3.4M. Mikheyev is also 2 years older. I don’t watch him enough but are they similar players on the forecheck? I
@JasonGregor Agreed, I don’t understand the notion of just trading him for cap space with such an underwhelming free agency pool and limited assets to trade for someone better. They’re better off staying put or upgrading 3LD & hope they can challenge Nurse for minutes and revisit next summer.
@oilersjayscan@AustinHockeyYT@TheOilyNuck It’s definitely a good problem to have though, when you are having a hard time picking who should get scratched. I think this team is deeper than last year.
@oilersjayscan@AustinHockeyYT@TheOilyNuck Yes you do, but he also needs to be on the right side of the puck. He goes through waves when he’s really effective and then he slumps. And that’s fine. I just think people will be rotated in and out namely those I mentioned above based on how each past game went.
@oilersjayscan@AustinHockeyYT@TheOilyNuck Don’t get me wrong I like him a lot, he will be in and out. Along with Jones, Henrique. It’s going to be a rotation like the last two runs.
