If you don’t believe you can do it, you won’t give it your all.
If you don’t give it your all, you won’t get good results.
If you don’t get good results, you won’t believe you can do it.
To use your time instead of watching it pass by, you must have:
- Clarity to know what you want
- A plan to get what you want
- Energy to do what you want
Without clarity you’ll feel stuck. Without a plan you’ll feel lost. Without energy you won’t act.
Everybody has the same amount of time but not everybody has the same amount of energy.
This is one reason why some are able to maximize their hours, while others feel like they never have enough of them.
Boost your energy & you’ll feel like you’ve gained hours in your day
When we dabble in everything we’ll never have the time to master anything.
Simple fix:
- Choose one topic you’re curious about
- Set a measurable goal for 12 weeks out related to that topic
- Do something towards that goal everyday for 12 weeks
You’ll be a master in no time.
If you don’t choose a destination, you can’t create a plan for how to get there.
If you don’t have a plan, you won’t know which direction to start going.
If you don’t know which direction to go, you’ll spend most days feeling lost.
Choose a destination. The rest will come.
One of my new favorite routines…
Standing on my Brooklyn stoop for a post run stretch and greeting everyone who walks by with a “good morning.”
Most light up, few ignore me, none expect it. But who knows, maybe it will make someone’s day.
If you ever doubt that large numbers of people from all different backgrounds can come together for a common goal, just focus on the audience at any major sporting event.
When the “what” and the “why” are strong enough, we’ll always find a “how.”
