None of the leading sides in the Israeli elections has managed to garner the majority required to form the next government. Netanyahu is issuing subtle threats, trying to stop Eisenkot's overtures to the Arab parties that would give them an outright majority in the Knesset and subsequently the right to form the next government.

The last time such a coalition was in place, it collapsed within 2 years.

Israelis are at the polls today, deciding whether to elect a new government or endorse the continuation of the Benjamin Netanyahu-led government.

His most prominent opponent is Gadi Eisenkot, a former IDF chief of staff.

The party or coalition that secures at least 61 seats in the 120-member Knesset will form the next government. "Bibi" faces an uphill task.

As of yesterday, he was trailing in the opinion polls and might not win, despite his best efforts in fighting Israel’s "enemies".

"Bibi" is most likely headed home. His friend Donald Trump has endorsed him as Trump himself battles a midterm election that is increasingly tipping in favour of the Democrats.

On a more serious note, Trump has an eye for a "nice Nicki Minaj rear", even to the extent of considering her for an appointment as the White House Press Secretary. 😂

Whoever claimed that "an old cat still drinks milk" might well have had Trump in mind.
